I never thought my blog would be so often visited because of my MasteringBio contents. Thank you for utilizing them and for expressing your gratitude. It brought my heart so much joy when you shared with me that they're helpful and that you're thankful. It's the most that I could ever ask for: to aid you in studying for your bio classes. In other words, I hope you would utilize my blog's contents as a tool for success, not a shortcut.
As I progress in my journey toward medicine, starting off as a K-12 student dreaming of caring for others to currently being a premed majored in bio, I realize more and more the importance of knowing the materials by heart instead of trying to get an A and not really knowing the materials.
I would like to share with you an image that I found a long time ago but still, to this day, find it motivational. It's an image that I look at when I feel lost in my seemingly forever journey toward medicine. It's an image that I look at when I doubt myself and my abilities. It's also an image that I look at when I ask myself why I'm driven.
And my answer has always been: for the people.
I'm telling you all these because I have my hope for you. You have ups and downs, but I hope you don't always frown. Because you're potential and incredible. Yes, you! You're the one that can make a difference in many. However...
I hope you're pursuing medicine because you would put the people first – instead of fame, money, status, or yourself. I hope you're pursuing medicine because you would like to make the people feel better – instead of making yourself look better. Last but not least, I hope you're pursuing medicine because it's your dream – instead of others' dream for you.
I wish you the best in your journey, not just toward medicine but toward anything that you dream to pursue. Go big or go bigger, then go home knowing that out there you just made a difference!
